Since Hazel founded Gamely back in 2016 we’ve been donating 10% of profits to charity each and every year. To date we’ve donated over £140,000 to good causes!
An in addition to this, we also give 1000s of games to charities and good causes every year. We realised early on that donating games is another great way we can make a difference and maximise the good we can do! And we’ve done a little bit of maths and worked out that we’ve given over 20,000 games to good causes and charities over the years!
In addition to sending out games to charity raffles and small fundraisers, we also partner with a selection of charities and send them bigger batches of games. This year we’ve worked with some amazing charities and wanted to highlight their brilliant work…
The Rainbow Trust supports families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life-threatening or terminal illness. The support they provide is hugely varied and depends on the needs of the family. We donated 128 games to the Rainbow Trust this year and have donated over 1,000 games to the charity since 2020.
KidsOut is a charity dedicated to supporting some of the UK’s most disadvantaged and vulnerable children. Our games are gifted to children that the charity supports over Christmas. We donated a mix of 656 games to KidsOut this year, and have donated over 4,000 games to them since we started ‘Games for Good’.
Pelican Parcels is a charity local to us in Brighton. They take pre-loved and new item donations for babies and children up to age 12, and redistribute them to families facing financial hardship via various existing family services in Brighton & Hove in Sussex. In 2024 we donated 124 games to Pelican Parcels, and to date we’ve supported them with over 1000 games.
Centrepoint aims to end youth homelessness. They provide the expert support and secure housing that young people need to reclaim their dreams and have a future beyond homelessness. This year we donated 32 games to Centrepoint, and to date have supported them with over 300 games.
We donated 96 copies of A Little More Conversation to Age UK. Age UK help older people across the UK in a multitude of ways. These include campaigning on their behalf, providing advice and access to information, along with health care and wellbeing programmes.
